Professional Field Auditors Melissa
Doherty and Astrid Miller at ASHO doing
their Golden Age of Tech Class VI Certainty training.
Starting as a
Professional Auditor
"All over the world auditors are
succeeding. However, in some areas we understand there are auditors who can’t seem to get going. In one particular area we
have heard that some auditors were working at regular jobs. What
a waste! In a world without assistance, real honest assistance
from anyone but Dianeticists and Scientologists, the waste of
ability in these lines is practically criminal!
"There’s no lack of willingness on the part of these auditors. It’s
finance. They can’t seem to get paying preclears. And to keep on
eating they go to work.
"Well, we’ve got a solution to that." - L. Ron Hubbard
Ability®
magazine article Sept 1955
START THAT PRACTICE!
Get trained. Your
success as a Professional Auditor is completely dependent on
your duplication of LRH’s tech. Whether you are delivering Book
One™ auditing or a metered Review program; drill, study and perfect your
tech. This includes Internships and keeping your tech
up to date.
The Saint Hill™ Special Briefing
Course is the course for Professionals. It covers all levels of
auditing skill, from introductory auditing, book auditing and
group processing through the entire Grade Chart below OT®.
And just start. Each
level of the SHSBC® has its own auditing skills, and you can
begin to deliver these as you study them on course—you don’t
have to wait!
Rebecca Cusano, OT IV and SHSBC Level
B completion opened her mission in Chicago’s Northwestern
suburbs after completing Level A of the SHSBC.
"After I came home from the BC on Level A I
was very excited about using what I had learned. I had done HDA,
but now I was a BC Grad. I grabbed every one of my PCs from
before the SHSBC and put them back in session, and every PC had
spectacular wins in their first session. I had one who
contacted a past life for the first time ever. That PC has gone
on to move up The Bridge®.
"Anybody at any level of the SHSBC
could open a mission, because the tools you get are amazing. The
course is so standard and it gives you all the tools that you
need. At each level you get data you can use.
"We charge a bit more for Book One™
Auditing - $400,
more than the baseline Class V rate which is $200 and the reason we do
is because I am trained on Level A of the SHSBC® and I can
deliver ALL of the steps. Level A is called the Fundamentals of
Dianetics, so my public can be sure they will receive a very
standard session."
Disseminate.
Hand out cards, write e-mails to friends, tell your family that
you are looking for people to audit. Get the word out that you
want to help others to do better in life. Put up signs, take out
ads in neighborhood newspapers, put up a sign at your local
grocery store — by any means, let everyone know that you can
help and are looking for preclears.
At ASHO we have
weekly Dissemination Workshops for those students enrolled on
the SHSBC® Professional Route. These go over all the basics in
dissemination, and in handling a brand-new person interested.
ASHO also offers the
Field Auditor Hat. This course covers the lines and actions you
need to put in place to have your own field practice. SHSBC
students do this after the Class VI Internship as an
administrative hat, and to orient them to running their own
practice and disseminating.
ASHO Day delivers a Dissemination Workshop every week. Each
attendee is given a checklist of actions to complete, which
includes reading, check-outs, drilling and practicals.
ASHO students also get to
participate in base-wide dissemination and recovery actions. ASHO student Holland Steiner was recently part of a major
recovery action for all Clears in LA.
Holland
Steiner is on the Professional Route at ASHO. To help her get
the experience she will need in opening her practice, she just
participated in a several week long project to recover Clears
to the Solo Course.
"I wanted to do this because my husband and I are planning to be
professional field auditors. That’s why we bought all our
training through Class VI and have come here to ASHO. I already
attend the Pro Dissemination Workshop every Monday evening, and
when the workshop I/C told us about this, and urged us to come -
I said, yes!
"Another student and I were
twinned up with 2 staff members - the ASHO Day Qual Sec and
Field Control Sec, and it really helped to have the staff with
us. It was a gradient level of confront for me, to just go out
to someone’s house, and knock on the door and then handle them.
"In fact, it was a bit of an adventure. For
one Clear we had to go way up into the hills, down winding dirt
roads and when we finally got to the place, there was a
construction site. For the first few minutes it was, 'you knock
on the door', no, 'you knock on the door', but we finally did
and out came this man who rather than going OT was busy building
a house.
"The Qual Sec got with him and we all kind of
made a safe space, and after a while he decided he would come in
for a Qual Consultation to help him go OT. Without us he would
have just kept on building the house. He’d been off The Bridge®
for 7 years. By the next week he had come back to the org and
was getting the help he needed to go OT.
"I am definitely going to do this again next
weekend. I like to disseminate Scientology and am learning by
doing this for my future field practice."

Connect up with your
nearest Class V Org and Sea Org Base. Become an active FSM
and a member of the local Auditor’s Association. Send your
preclears to the org to be trained while you continue to audit
them, per HCO™ PL THE RIGHTS OF THE FIELD AUDITOR. The most
successful Field Auditors are members of the Scientology® team
in their areas, and flow public into the org.
Field Auditor, Class VIII Bob Lauffer, has a close working
relationship with the nearby org in San Francicso.
"I often
go to the Org and speak to new people and I like to validate
whatever they are doing in dissemination or trying to help
others. I also give talks at the Auditors Association meetings
on how to start auditing in the field.
"Compared to most people, a new Scientologist™
is an absolute genius - they know the cycle of action, they know
the ARC triangle, etc. They can use these to help others.
"I also send my PCs to the Org for training, and I collect
the FSM Commission for this. It’s better for the pc to be
trained, and the Org has a great Academy.
"And I use the org for my own training and correction."
Field Auditors
usually make a significant amount of their income from FSM
Commissions. This is from referring their preclears to nearby
Class V orgs or to the Sea Org orgs for advanced training and
processing.
You can do a free
hatting course on being an FSM in any org, which goes over all
the basic policies you need to know. The FSM I/C
will be more than happy to help you and will supply you with
promotion and selection slips
Here is an example:
You send your preclear into a nearby org, and she buys an
Academy Training package for $8,000. You receive a 15%
commission on those services, which is payable when she arrives
at the Org to do them, ($1,200.00).
If you were to send
20 preclears a year into the org for similar packages, you
would have $24,000 in income just from selecting your public to
train.
Charge
for your services. And build up some reserves so you can do more
auditing.
As LRH says:
"Take it cash in advance. Guarantee nothing. Make sure you
stress its spirtual slant and value. Steer clear of promising
cures. AND DON’T rush them into auditing. They’ll beg for it
soon enough.
"Actually do this to be of service to man. Try to give it
away. You’ll find you can’t. Don’t use this just because it’s a
‘preclear getter’, it’s a lot more than that. It will put you in
financial condition and get your church going.
...
"The cost of starting all this is not high. If
you’re working keep on working for a little until you get a
practice started. Put your interview hours in the right place
for you and work harder by putting yourself in two slots at
once. If you’re not working and broke, get a job doing anything,
finance your project and then cut loose from the job when you
are rolling." - LRH
