Many Page 3 girls have gone on to become extremely successful after pulling up their bra straps, but no one did it quite the style of Helen Labdon.
The Brighton beauty made regular appearances on Page 3 during the late 80s and early 90s, but quit modelling and moved to LA to become a secretary for a TV company – not that exciting we hear you say!
It was while working there that Helen met talk show host Greg Kinnear and as she later said, “it was love at first sight.”
Greg also enjoyed the occasional acting role and three years later, he hit the big time in the movie As Good As It Gets, playing Jack Nicholson’s gay neighbour. The role earned him nominations for Best Supporting Actor at the Ocsars and the Golden Globes.
Helen said then: “I never dreamed I’d go to the Oscars with someone nominated for an award. If he wins it will be the best night of my life.”
Greg didn’t win, but his career went from strength to strength, landing lead roles in You’ve Got Mail, Auto Focus and Stuck On You.
The couple got engaged in 1998 and returned to Helen’s home county, Sussex, to marry in the 11th Century Boxgrove Priory Church.
Once married, they moved into a mansion in the Hollywood Hills and although Helen went through a traumatic miscarriage in 2001, she gave birth to a daughter, Lily in 2003.
