1. Week 12 Preparations

By now you should have consulted with me at least once about your folios progress.

Once you have completed your folio, please do the following.

    • Put your files in a folder with your name on it.
    • Name your files in a way that will have them be shown in the order you want to show them.
    • Write  3 paragraphs about the following 3 questions, ‘what you  did’, ‘why you did what you did’, ‘how you did what you did’.

On the day, just copy the folder of files to the teaching computer, then use the built in software to run a slideshow of your images to share with the rest of the class.

  7. Joel Peter Witkin, is a an artist who draws on the broader history of painting to make images that are on the surface grotesque, but ask questions about beauty and our own corporeality.

  8. Joel Meyerwotiz’s work is  ground breaking in that he worked on the streets chasing the decisive moment of Cartier-Bresson, but also used colour film to do so.

  9. Dianne Arbus; another American woman artist, whose work has continued to inspire generations in her wake.

  10. Francesca Woodman; a gifted young woman, who left an amazing body of work behind after her short life.
