  • Dietmar Winkler studied at the Technische Universität Berlin Electrical Engineering and specialised in the field of control of electric drives.

  • From January 2004 until March 2009 he worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Chair of Electronic Measurement and Diagnostic Technology at the Technische Universität Berlin

Research

The topic of his research is the modelling in real-time of the dynamic behaviour of the complete power train of a car. These real-time models can then be used to do Hardware-in-the-Loop simulations (HiL) in connection with a highly dynamic engine test-bench.

Test Bench of the Future

The following topics shall be investigated using the HiL engine test-bench:

  • Optimisation of different hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) concepts on a highly dynamic engine test-bench system
  • Carry out tests which are normally done by road test drives or roller rig test already on the highly dynamic engine testbbench.
