Eitt þat ljótt með hǫggorms heiti
hefir sprungit mér framm af tungu,
orða far þá er als kyns flærðum
ek blandaða ok fúlu grandi,
líknarfúss þvái lýti þessi
lifanda vatni heilagr andi,
mér veitandi mjúka ok sæta
mála grein en skilning hreinan.
