The Toughest Job You'll Ever Love!

What does RVS do?

Returned Volunteer Services (RVS) provides career, educational and re-entry-related assistance and information to more than 3,500 Peace Corps Volunteers returning to the U.S. each year.

RVS staff does not "find jobs" for RPCVs. The bottom line is that only an RPCV can find him/herself a job. We are not a placement service for individuals. Through numerous materials and carefully-planned workshops, we educate RPCVs on how to manage the career and life transition and strongly encourage a self-directed job search approach.

STAFF AT RVS

With a small, full-time staff (two, at present), helpful interns and patient RPCVs, RVS strives to provide solid information through a variety of mediaÑprint, video and workshops. The RVS staff include Susan Musich, Coordinator/Hotline Editor (RPCV Costa Rica and Philippines), and Christine Strater, Program Assistant.

SHOULD YOU COME TO DC?

It is not at all necessary for RPCVs to come to DC to receive RVS services. RVS will respond to career- and readjustment-related inquiries. Write to us at the address above. RVS also collaborates with Peace Corps Regional Offices nationwide to provide career information to RPCVs in other parts of the U.S. Check out the office closest to you for information on services offered in your area

ON-LINE CAREER CENTER COMING SOON!

RVS is in the process of designing on-line career services. We expect to have it up and running by early fall! Virtually all RVS materials will be available on-line. This service will also include hot links to job search sites of particular interest to RPCVs!
