Live Online!
See the FME in action right live while-u-wait! In the below demo, the FME is used to extract data from an IGDS/MicroStation Design file that the BC Ministry of Forests has kindly made available.
Simply use the below form to choose your desired output format, pick the linear features you want, and choose a polygonal coverage.
If you chose GIF as the output format, the text labels associated with each polygon as used to assign a fill pattern, and the linear features are overlayed. once the translation is done, you'll be presented with the GIF image, and you'll have a chance to examine the log file produced during the run.
If you chose another format as the output, the FME will produce the output files. We'll zip them up (and include the log file), and send the whole zip file down to your browser. It will ask you for a filename to use to save the results. To use the created files in your GIS, you'll need to unzip the result once you get it.
Remember: Nothing is precanned -- the translation happens live while-u-wait. To prove it, examine the timestamps in the logfile we send down (bearing in mind that they are Pacific time).
Give it a try! Just fill in the form below, and let the FME do the rest!

After you fill out and submit the below form, the FME will translate the chosen portion of the input design file into the chosen format.
