"Sunset Beach"

a sizzling new daytime drama from Aaron Spelling,

premieres January 6, 1997 on CHCH-TV.

Sunset Beach is a place where everyone knows everybody else's business. It's home to the rich and poor, young and old, warm beaches, casual charm and a legend that pervades the entire character of the community. Sunset Beach, the first daytime serial to debut on television in eight years and Aaron Spelling's first entry into the daytime arena, premieres Monday, January 6, 1997 (3:00 - 4:00 p.m.) on CHCH-TV.

The 21 member cast includes such names as veteran actress Lesley-Anne Down, Sam Behrens, Susan Ward, Clive Robertson, Leigh Taylor Young, Kathleen Noone and Ashley Hamilton.

Set in a small Southern California coastal community, Sunset Beach is comprised of a diverse mix of people: police officers, lifeguards, newspaper reporters, doctors, waiters and restaurant owners. It has its share of interesting personalities like the "trophy" wife of a high-powered, unscrupulous attorney, who lusts after power and social status; a mysterious, wealthy entrepreneur; an eccentric, personable socialite; a career-driven physician; a good cop gone bad; an all-American hero with a tormented past; a troubled young runaway; a conniving half-sister; and a young man who holds a secret that could destroy his entire family.

To keep up with the latest goings-on, most residents can be found at the Java Web cyber coffeehouse, the blues/rock club called The Deep, or Elaine's Waffle House.

Sunset Beach, the hottest spot to be come January, premieres Monday, January 6, 1997, at 3:00 p.m. on CHCH-TV.
