Peter Miller, President and Chief Executive Officer of Artifex Records & Nashville Compact Disc

Peter is a classically trained guitarist, composer, producer, engineer and teacher. His first love is music, and Artifex Records is his way of contributing. His history as a performer and writer afford Peter the ability to see things from both the artist's point of view as well as from the business point of view.

From Bach to Miles, Peter is a true student of the art form. He earned a Master of Music Education degree from James Madison University (where he designed and taught classes) and a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance with a Minor in Broadcasting degree from Eastern Michigan University.

Peter has recently created Nashville Compact Disc, and it is already generating millions. Under his leadership as Director of Sales at Americ Disc, the company generated sales of over $25 million annually.


Terry Ayers, Label Manager and A&R Head.
An accomplished musician, artist and composer for nearly thirty years, since his arrival in Nashville, Terry Ayers has had the privilege to record with such legendary talents as Owen Bradley, Chet Atkins, Boots Randolph, and Floyd Cramer.
Prior to his relocating to "Music City", Ayers enjoyed a successful ten year career in Los Angeles, California where he recorded and toured with a long list of artists including: Laura Branigan, Melissa Etheridge, Chester Thompson and Tom Fowler, just to name a few.
A proud native of Oklahoma, Ayers recorded his first solo project with members of the Dallas Symphony. Produced by Grammy award winning engineer Phil York, the album contained original compositions penned by Ayers. Signed in 1994 to Artifex Records, along with wife Trisha Lee, and fellow group member Frederick Boyle, they recorded "Terry's Tavern". This collection of original jazzy tunes was featured on board American Airlines' in-flight audio program entitled, "Fresh Jazz".
After touring Europe all of last year, Ayers now resides in Nashville where he is currently managing Artifex Records, an independent jazz label.


John Fairhead, Director of Marketing & West Coast Label Head
As head of west coast operations, John brings a unique perspective to his position; it is one that includes being a recording engineer. He has worked with internationally renowned artists such as: Teddy Pendergrass, Cinderella, Patty LaBelle, Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, and Bon Jovi. John was also worked with several acclaimed engineers and producers including: Andy Johns, Jimbo Barton, Nigel Green, Jim Scott, and Peter Q. Harris. As an engineer, John has recorded everything from jazz and classical to rap and heavy metal. John graduated with honors from MTSU with a bachelor of science degree in Recording Industry Management and minors in Business and Mass Communication.


Tom Greever, Marketing Manager - Nashville Operations.
A native of Lubbock, Texas, Tom comes to Artifex Records as a double major in Marketing and Music Business at Belmont University. As part of a special curriculum in Belmont's Honors Program, Tom was able to design his degrees to meet his specific needs for the music industry. As a sophomore, Tom will graduate with his two undergraduate degrees in 1998. His academic success at Belmont has earned him space on both the Dean's and President's Lists with a 4.0 grade point average.
