Files in Word for Windows 6.0 format

To use these net.sourcebooks, you will need a word processor capable of reading Word for Windows 6.0 files. Obviously, Word 6.0 can read them, and so can Word 7.0; other word processors may also be able to read them, depending on the conversion filters that are installed. Word for Macintosh seems to have trouble with them, though.
If you want these files but have no word processor capable of converting them, try Microsoft's Word Viewer, which will let you view and print the documents, but not edit them.

Running Gear
(635kB .zip file)
A Shadowrun net.sourcebook, with new weapons and gear, S.W.O. Guns firearms, Cyberpunk 2020 weapons equipment converted to Shadowrun, explosives, Wordman's drugs, and Radtech skate gear.
Tech Specs
(830kB .zip file)
A Shadowrun net.sourcebook, with Cyberpunk 2020 cyberware converted to Shadowrun, new weapons and equipment, new spells, legality ratings for items not mentioned in Shadowtech, reverse-engineering of nearly all existing Shadowrun spells, rules on cyberware & shock weapons, starting fires, indirect fire, a new melee combat system, naked matrix running, remote sensors, and new Archetypes.
Project 3
(1.2 MB .zip file)
A Shadowrun net.sourcebook, with the Shadowgear 2050/2051 catalog, vehicles, pictures of weapons and cyberware, new spells, a new totem, notes on using explosives, sporting equipment, Japanese critters, new and savage melee weapons, more new equipment, weapons, and accessories, the 2036 Uncle Albert's Catalog (for Car Wars) converted to Shadowrun, rules on armor, autofire, demolitions, character generation, extinguishing fires, falling damage, helmets, recoil, and overflow damage, errata sheets for Shadowrun books, new Contacts, and a character sheet expansion.
Chromebook Conversions
(490kB .zip file)
A Shadowrun net.sourcebook, with 99.9% of all gear, weapons, chips, programs, vehicles, cyberware, and nearly everything else from the first three Chromebooks (for Cyberpunk 2020) converted to Shadowrun, plus a few new Archetypes thrown in as a bonus.
Quick-Reference Sheets
(205kB .zip file)
Sheets with tables from various official Shadowrun books grouped neatly together, for both Shadowrun players and gamemasters.
Paranoid Animals of North America
(1.9 MB .zip file)
A Shadowrun net.sourcebook, containing similar material to the previous Plastic Warriors net.sourcebooks. This one has fictional material, more new equipment, a whole load of bioware, new Matrix rules (although these were written before Virtual Realities 2.0 came out), new adept types, more spells, new rules, a bunch of contacts and archetypes, and loads more!
Note: This is not a local file.

Programs

All these programs require Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and the file VBRun300.dll in order to work, except Burst Dice, which requires Windows 95 and the file VB40032.dll. Apart from that, all necessary files come packaged in the zip file. Another Shadowrun program, this calculates the off-the-shelf cost of a cyberdeck constructed under VR 2.0 rules.A utility for Millennium's End for GMs tired of having to roll handsfull of dice when someone opens up on full autofire. Also included is an ammunition stats calculator.
GameName v1.3
(27kB .zip file)
A random-name generator that is useable with any RPG. It will create random names either by reading separate first and last names from a file, and combining the two, or by one of two methods of stringing random letters behind each other. The name files can be added to by using any text editor.
Version 2.0 of GameName is under construction, and will do a lot more than just generate random names!
Matrix 2.0 Host Generator This program for Shadowrun creates random matrix systems for use with the Virtual Realities 2.0 rules, including system ratings, IC, alert thresholds, and paydata present in the system.
Cyberdeck Cost Calculator
Quoter
(17 kB .zip file)
A little program for adding quotes to email messages and other texts. You know, for when your mailer refuses to do it automatically because it's too limited, or because the messages get too large (insert big grin to LJ and Blaze here :)
This is not a role-playing related program in any way, but it might come in handy for just about everyone sometimes.
Burst Dice
(10 kB .zip file)

General

Plastic Warriors fonts
(790kB .zip file)
Most of the fonts used in the various Plastic Warriors net.sourcebooks grouped together in one .zip file. Download, unzip, and install them to make sure Windows gets them right.
Errata sheet For the Plastic Warriors books mentioned above.

Other Sites For These Files

Note: If you run a site that has Plastic Warriors stuff on it, or you come across one, but it isn't listed here, tell Gurth@xs4all.nl about it.
Likewise, if you find that one of the above sites no longer holds Plastic Warriors material, send an email about it to the same address, so the information can be updated. Thank you.

More Sites Worth A Visit

Shadowrun

Since most of this page concerns itself with Shadowrun, drop by at FASA's page: http://www.fasa.com/. Now if only FASA would put links to pages of people playing their games...
Like on R. Talsorian's page, for example. http://www.best.com/~rtg1/ is worth a visit if you use the Plastic Warriors conversions of CP2020 stuff.
Furthermore, since there's some Car Wars stuff in Project 3, take a look at Steve Jackson Games' Illuminati Online: http://www.io.com/.
And naturally, for anything related to Shadowrun, you can't afford not to look at Paolo Marcucci's site: http://www.interware.it/users/paolo/sr2/index.html.

Millennium's End

Chameleon Eclectic's page is located at http://www.blackeagle.com, and from there you can choose the link to the Millennium's End section.

Under Development

For the immediate future, don't expect too much. I'm rather busy doing other stuff (including, hopefully, getting paid to write something...*crosses fingers*) but various books are under construction. Most important are a set of conversions for Blackhand's Street Weapons to Shadowrun, and a very necessary upgrade to the DMZ boardgame.

Your articles!

If you would like to see your material published, mail your Shadowrun- related texts to Gurth@xs4all.nl. Take a look at the publications above to see what we're looking for.

A couple of ego pics

You missed Gurth's pic! Jani's mug shot should be here
Gurth, who really went to town with a graphic program on this one Jani Fikouras, or "Janikewl" as he prefers to call it

And a list of contributors

Note that not all of these knew (or perhaps even know) they were (are) contributors until the books came out... At any rate, muchos gracias to all of them :)
