In order to comply, PNY must continuously monitor, maintain and document rigid quality controls on the design, development, production and technical support of its memory products. All PNY products are tested before shipment and come with a full lifetime warranty.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Technical support is provided via PNY’s toll-free hotline which is utilized by end-users, resellers and retailers who may have questions regarding the installation and compatibility of PNY memory products. A toll-free fax-back service provides instant access to PNY product literature. Both services are available by calling 1-800-234-4597.

NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

PNY revolutionized the industry in 1993 by launching a line of memory products with expanded compatibility called “UNIMEM” (TM). Fewer than 45 UNIMEM products replace over 1000 OEM part numbers, thus dramatically reducing the amount of inventory resellers need to carry. In addition to producing industry standard SIMMs (single in-line memory modules), PNY also designs, manufactures and markets DIMMs (dual in-line memory modules) and SO-DIMMs (small outline, dual in-line memory modules). PNY is well-positioned to lead the laptop memory market as it aggressively expands its production of PCMCIA, JEIDA and proprietary design credit card modules.

GROWTH

PNY’s annual sales have virtually doubled every year since 1991. Increasing demand for aftermarket memory is driven by two main factors: 1) Intense competition by OEM manufacturers who keep prices down by offering only 4-8 MB of standard RAM 2) Continuous introduction of new software, operating systems and games that require a minimum of 8 MB to operate effectively. In 1995, PNY posted sales revenues of $500-million.
