Clay Walker's New Single "Rumor Has It" Released To The Public On The Internet Before Radio Stations

HOUSTON, TX - Clay Walker's, New Single "Rumor Has It" was released to the public today on Clay Walker's World Wide Web Site on the internet. Fans will be able to point their web browsers to http:/// to hear and see portions of the new song and it's video. "We thought it would be a great idea to let Clay's fans all over the world get a sneak peak at Clay's new material, and what better way than the internet, " commented Danny O'Brian, Clay Walker's Manager.

The website utilizes Real Audio Technology to allow fans to listen to the song without waiting long periods of time for the song to download into their computer. "We wanted to make sure the fans could listen in and not have to spend hours in front of their computer waiting to download the song clip" said Sid Farbstein, Director of New Media Services for Bill Young Productions the website's developer. "Speed has become a big issue on the Internet and we wanted to make sure we spared no expense" said Mark Simmons, President of Bill Young Productions.

The single is scheduled to be released January 17, 1997, with the balance of the album being released sometime in April.

The Clay Walker Website was developed as part of Clay Walker's new tour, which kicks off Jan. 17th in Amarillo, and is slated to run throughout 1997. The "Primestar Presents Clay Walker and The Four Star Blowout" tour lineup represents the diversity of country music in the '90s and audiences will have a chance to see the best of today's new generation of country performers.
