THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ALLERGY, ASTHMA AND IMMUNOLOGY ANNOUNCES THE 1997 AAAAI/AAI/CIS JOINT MEETING MILWAUKEE - New research findings and up-to-date treatments related to allergy, asthma and immunologic diseases including HIV will be featured during the first joint meeting between the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), The American Association of Immunologists (AAI) and the Clinical Immunology Society (CIS). The meeting will be held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco from February 21-26, 1997.
During the six-day meeting, more than 6,000 allergists, immunologists, research scientists, and allied health professionals from around the world will hear and discuss more than 2,000 original research abstracts on allergic diseases, clinical immunology, autoimmunity and immunodeficiencies.

The AAAAI is the largest national medical specialty organization representing allergists, clinical immunologists and allied health professionals with an interest in allergic diseases. Established in 1943, the Academy has more than 5,400 members in the United States, Canada and 41 other countries. The AAI has more than 5,300 members throughout the world and was founded to advance the knowledge of immunology and related disciplines and to facilitate the interchange of ideas and information among investigators in the various fields.
The CIS was established in 1986 and is devoted to fostering developments in the science and practice of clinical immunology. It currently has more than 700 members.
