Annual Meeting - Allied Health

The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology is pleased to present the Ninth Annual Allergy/Immunology Program for the Allied Health Professional at the 1997 Joint AAAAI/AAI/CIS Meeting, February 21 - 24, 1997, in San Francisco, California.

Three courses will be offered to meet the needs of the allied health professionals: Allergy for the Health Professional Course, the Clinical Research Coordinators Course, and the Medical Administrators Course. A sample of topics include: managed care, latex allergy, anaphylaxis, rhinitis, food allergy, indoor allergens, insect allergy, computers in research, research audit, protocols, CPT coding, managed care manual, and computer software for administrators.

All Allied Health programs will be held at the Moscone Convention Center located at 747 Howard Street, San Francisco, California.

There are a few special events for all allied health attendees. Each morning a continental breakfast will be served. An allied health networking reception will be held on Saturday, from 4:00pm - 5:30pm. Also the Sunday lunch will be a networking lunch. This means that there will be preassigned table topics over lunch, and participants will discuss a topic.

The last day to register in advance is February 7. After February 7, interested individuals must register on-site. The Allied Health Allergy for the Health Care Professional Course and all Allied Health Workshops are sponsored by an unrestricted educational grant from Hoechst Marion Roussel. The Clinical Research Coordinators Course is sponsored by an unrestricted educational grant from Astra, USA, Inc.
