RENAISSANCE - Integration of High Performance Services for
Interactive Vocational Training
The RENAISSANCE project consortium proposes to develop a virtual vocational
training environment which can manage and deliver advanced digital content
thereby demonstrating the capability of a range of high performance network
infrastructures to support such an application - namely Community Antenna
Television (CATV), Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) and Narrowband
Integrated Services Digital Network (NISDN).

The project runs for 30 months from October 1995 to March 1998. It is part
funded by the European Commission under the Fourth Framework ACTS Programme.
