An effective therapy
program should have a strong history of producing
positive results. Hollins has that record:
- Over 3,900 people have completed
our program.
- Approximately 93% of all treated
cases have attained normal levels of fluent
speech by the end of the 19-day program.
- Follow-up studies conducted on 200
randomly selected cases (verified by independent
sources) show that 75% retain normal fluency and
normal reactions to everyday speaking situations.
The average time from completion of therapy was
10 months, and the longest was 41 months.
- An additional 15% retain
significant improvement over their pre-treatment
speech fluency though outside of the normal range
of 3% or less disfluencies.
- Over 95% indicated that the
program had been worthwhile for them.
- Approximately 89% indicated that
their new levels of fluency were improved over
their pre-treatment levels.
- Less than 1% of those who begin
therapy drop out prior to the end of the 19-day
program.
- 98% said they would recommend it
to other stutterers.
Our graduates have said...
"It's
(the Hollins program) the most wonderful thing that ever
happened to a person who stutters."
"For
the first time, I can talk without fear."
"What's
ahead of me is a lifetime of fluency."
