Genoa Systems Corporation was founded in 1984 in San Jose, California. Our mission is to design, and market technologically advanced computer peripheral products. Since that time, Genoa has become one of the leading manufacturers of a wide array of p erformance enhancement products, including graphics accelerators, motion video capture cards, scan conversion cards and motherboards.
Genoa's history is rich in milestones and achievements: in 1987, we designed and marketed the first SuperEGA graphics chip and card to reach resolutions of 800 x 600 pixels. In 1989, as a founding member for VESA, Genoa pioneered the Flicker Free technology to set graphics modes at 72Hz. Our WindowsVGA, introduced in 1991, was the first graphics accelerator designed specifically for Windows and AutoCAD. TurboBahn, the first 24-bit true color local bus graphics and motherboard ard solution combo, was launched in 1993.
Over the years, Genoa has consistently developed high quality products with an attractive price-performance ratio. In 1996, Genoa has introduced Phantom 64 and Phantom 3D as the competitive and affordable graphics hardware solutions. The coming year will see the launch of new products such as Phantom3D Pro advanced 3D graphics accelerators, VideoM otion PCI-based motion video capture cards, VideoMotion Conferencing video conference packages, VGA2TV portable scan converters, InfoViewer information appliance and TurboExpress motherboards.
