VideoLogic Launches Special Christmas Promotions on Apocalypse Line of 3D Gaming Cards
Offering price reductions of up to 35% on existing 3D products

SAN BRUNO, CALIF. -- October 27, 1997 -- As part of its Christmas promotions, VideoLogic, the international PC multimedia and 3D graphics company, has announced significant price cuts on its award winning Apocalypse line of 3D gaming cards. As of November 1, reductions of up to 35% will be implemented across the whole of the Apocalypse 3D product line through VideoLogic’s existing network of computer distributors, resellers and retailers.

As a result of the price reductions, the second generation Apocalypse 3Dx will be available for just $129.00 retail with an expected street price of $119.00 – a saving of almost 35%. And, the Apocalypse 3Dx will still come bundled with five 3D accelerated games, including Tomb RaiderTM (OEM version), WipeOut 2097TM, Ultim@te RaceTM (new 3 track), MechWarrior 2TM and TerracideTM (OEM version).

At the same time, VideoLogic is also introducing a special low cost version of the Apocalypse 3Dx, called the "Apocalypse 3Dx Value Pack". The Apocalypse 3Dx Value Pack includes the card, software drivers and a 3D games sampler CD of 15 3D accelerated games for just $95.00 retail, with an expected street price of just $89.00.

For power gamers interested in a high-end 2D/3D combination card, VideoLogic is also reducing the cost of its award winning Apocalypse 5D product line by around 15%. From November, the Apocalypse 5D 6MB version will have a new retail price of just $249.00, with an expected street price of $229.00, and the Apocalypse 8MB version will have a new retail price of just $279.00, with an expected street price of $259.00 – a saving of 15%.

And now, just added to the Apocalypse range, the new Apocalypse 5D Sonic with the very latest integrated PCI-based audio acceleration for DirectSound and DirectSound3D support. The Apocalypse 5D Sonic will be available from the beginning of December. The 6MB version will have a retail price of $315.00, with an expected street price of $299.00, with the 8MB version retailing for $349.00, with an expected street price of $329.00.

In addition to the aggressive price cuts, VideoLogic will also be including a free games CD of 15 new 3D accelerated games (demos and trial versions) in every new Apocalypse product purchased from now until Christmas.
