journal published in South Africa by the Departments of Philosophy of Rhodes
University and the University of the Witwatersrand. It is edited by Michael
Pendlebury (University of the Witwatersrand), and is issued three times
Since 1986, Philosophical Papers has been publishing articles of the highest standard by philosophers from all around the English-speaking world on issues in every branch of Philosophy within the broad analytic tradition. The Editor is advised by a range of local and overseas experts, and by a panel of Editorial Consultants consisting of leading international philosophers. Papers appearing in the journal are indexed in The Philosopher's Index.
Philosophical Papers is committed to opening and maintaining channels of communication between the philosophy communities in South Africa and abroad, to encouraging high standards of excellence in philosophical research, to promoting the values of intellectual rigour and clarity, and to providing a forum for open, free, constructive, critical thought.
