  Bug Reports   IE4 ZIP Bugfix
Whenever we discover a problem with any of the MODPlug programs, we will list it in this section.

VU-Meter Bug in 1.32: In version 1.32 of the MODPlug Player, the VU meters in the Mixer do not work. This problem has been fixed with version 1.33.

Problem with Beatnik: If you have installed the Beatnik plugin with the MOD Plugin, you may run into some incompatibility problems on certain pages using the MOD Plugin. Most of the time, this problem is caused by the page calling the "audio/x-mod" MIME type, which both Beatnik and the MOD Plugin register. If you have this problem, please contact the Webmaster of the page and alert them to use the MIME type "audio/x-zipped-mod" instead.
If the installation of MODPlug 1.89 did not fix your problem with IE4, you can manually edit the Registry to correct it. Open the Registry editor by clicking on the Windows 95 Start button, choosing "Run..." and typing REGEDIT in the box. This will launch the Registry Editor which looks and acts like the Windows Explorer. You will need to drill down the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - MICROSOFT - INTERNET EXPLORER - PLUGINS - EXTENSIONS - .ZIP Once you have reached this point, find the "Key" labeled "application/x-zipped-compressed" and remove any mention of the MOD Plugin from this entry. This should prevent IE4 from launching the MOD Plugin when downloading Zipped files.
