CLUE: A new show that features bright youngsters from across the country winning fabulous prizes in an environment that is fun for the whole family.
ANSWER: What is JEP!?
Kids across the country are answering in the form of a question with Game Show Network's new program which airs Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. ET (6:30 a.m. PT) and 11:30 a.m. (8:30 a.m. PT). This children's version of the hit game show, Jeopardy!, features a hip new set, an enthusiastic young host and of course plenty of interesting questions for the young contestants to ponder.
Inspired by the format of its parent show, JEP! will feature
contestants trying their best to win fabulous prizes such as trips, televisions,
stereos, athletic gear, computers, limousine rides to school and much
more. Seated in unique, space-age lounge seats, contestants will do their
best to answer a variety of challenging questions. Answer enough correctly
and winners will get the chance to spend their hard earned points by choosing
from a variety of prizes.
Fun for the whole family, JEP! puts an exciting and fresh spin on one of the most popular shows in television history. Hosted by the energetic Bob Bergen, each episode will involve three contestants chosen from a nationwide contestant search, flexing their brainpower over the course of three rounds of fast-paced clues ranging from science and technology to popular culture.
The show will also feature special "Daily Double" clues and the "JEP! Squad," a group of young fans from across the country who will provide challenging remote clues to contestants.
Helping to transform this classic game show into a hip, kid-friendly game are executive producers Scott Sternberg and Harry Friedman. Sternberg, a legendary game show producer, was behind such successful programs as The Dating Game and The Newlywed Game. Friedman currently helms the hit syndicated game shows Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!
JEP! leads off the Kids Zone, a special block of shows where the game show environment is turned upside-down with free-wheeling adaptations of popular game shows just for kids. Airing every Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 AM, this three-hour fun-fest features energetic young host Adrian R'Mante as he introduces Wheel 2000, a fun adaptation of Wheel of Fortune featuring contestants who complete an array of challenging stunts to earn letters that will help them solve the puzzle. Classic game shows such as Joker! Joker! Joker!, Quiz Kids Challenge, and Juvenile Jury complete the block and give today's kids a fun look back at their counterparts from different eras.
