Human-Computer interface (HCI) and Brain-Computer interface (BCI) is a
necessary step in the evolution of human existence. It seeks to create a
symbiotic relationship between man and machine, enhancing both along the
way. Whether you are dealing with the replacement of a lost limb,
restoration of hearing to a deaf individual, or the expansion of a fully
functioning body to an augmented, improved state, HCI and BCI incorporates
practices from a variety of fields. The resources on the web, in fact, in
the entire world, both real and virtual, are very limited. I have tried
to collect as much of the information availabe on-line as possible, in the
form of links. Most of the information will be directed towards human
augmentation of already functional systems to an improved state, on the
way to post-humanism, that being my interest. You will however find
information on general prosthetics, neuroscience, and electrical
engineering. This is included because a good deal of the fields have yet
to be combined to form the necessary information base. This work is in a
very early stage of developement. So, for those of you seeking
information on transhumanistic growth and uploading, or bionics and
prosthetics, I hope I may provide some direction.
