RIPPLE SURPRISE

Materials: Dawn Sayelle; 8 skeins Fisherman (A), 1 skein each 
Sierrra (B), New Fern (C), Canyon Coral (D), Med. Fir Green (E), Honey Beige 
(F), Dark Sage (G), and Botanica Ombre (H).
PLEASE NOTE: Yarn usage may vary depending on your particular yarn 
techniques.
Needles: Size I crochet hook or size to reach gauge below.
Gauge: 7 rows - 21/2".
Finished Measurements: approximately 48" x 60".

RIPPLE PATTERN ROW: (work in back loop of stitch only); Ch 1, sk 1 sc, 
* 1 sc in ea of next 4 sc, 3 sc in next sc, 1 sc in ea of the next 4 sc, sk 2 
sc. Repeat from * across to within last 5 sc, end 1 sc in ea of next 3 sc, sk 1 
sc, 1 sc through both loops of last sc, turn.
 
To change colors at the end of a row, complete row as stated above, cut your 
yarn, leaving a 5" tail. Then pull the new color through the loop on your hook 
for the ch 1 to begin the new row (also leaving a 5" tail); continue in pattern 
working over the tails as you go. This eliminates having to weave them in later.

INSTRUCTIONS: With Color A, ch 230 loosely (if you chain too tightly, 
use a size J or K hook to make your beginning chain). Sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 
sc in ea of next 3 chains, * 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in ea of next 4 chains, sk 2 
chains, 1 sc in ea of the next 4 chains, repeat from * across, ending 3 sc in 
next chain, 1 sc in ea of last 4 chains, turn.

Following the Ripple Pattern Row, work 5 rows more of Color A, 1 row each of 
Color B, Color C, Color D, Color  E, Color F, Color G and Color H. * 7 rows 
Color A, 1 row each of colors as given above, repeat from * 8 times. End with 6 
rows Color A. Cut yarn strands 12" long, and attach 4 strands with fringe knot 
in each "Hill" and "Valley" across each end.

MACHINE WASH and DRY INSTRUCTIONS;
Machine Wash: warm water. 
Machine Dry: Sayelle* knitwear must be absolutely dry to insure automatic 
blocking. If stretched during wear, wet thoroughly, squeeze and tumble dry 
to reshape.
