Callable Personal Librarian (CPL)TM - The Developer's API

Callable Personal Librarian (CPL), a C-callable application programmer's interface (API), is the most reliable and scalable full-text searching technology in today's information retrieval market. As the engine that powers PLS products, it provides advanced indexing, searching, and document navigation features for a wide array of robust and full-featured full-text information retrieval applications.   

PLWeb TurboTM

PLWeb Turbo turns your Intranet and Internet text into a World Wide Web information resource. The software's powerful searching tools are presented to your users through a form-based HTML interface that easily integrates into your WWW pages. It allows you to cast your own HTML publishing style "on top" of PLWeb Turbo without programming, thereby enabling you to effortlessly brand your content. The look and feel is yours. Fast and effective searching is available to your users.  

PLWeb Turbo subcomponents: 

  • EZ AdminTM, a Web-based administration package designed specifically for Web administrators who wish to reduce the administrative overhead of  managing large public or private Web sites. EZ Admin allows an administrator to simplify administrative tasks through a graphical user interface that eliminates programming from the command line.   
  • PLSyncTM, a utility that simplifies the maintenance of databases built from dynamic document collections. When you use PLWeb to create a searchable index of a file system that undergoes frequent changes, PLSync can automatically update the database to reflect those changes.
  • PLSpiderTM, a Web crawling utility that can turn a complex Web site into a useful, searchable resource, or can turn an Intranet into a virtual internal library.  Please take some time to review the rules of "netiquette" at The Web Robots Pages before using PLSpider.  PLSpider is available with PLWeb Turbo 3.0 only.

PLWeb-CDTM

CD-ROMs have been an effective tool for publishing large amounts of static data. At the same time, Web browsers have become the standard interface for information seekers.
