Advanced Keyword Search
SEARCH HINTS:
- Available search types are Any Keyword (w), Author Keyword (a), Title Keyword (t),
and Subject Keyword - Library of Congress Subject Headings (s).
- The search expression must take the form of search type=search
term. (e.g. w=marmalade)
- Adjacency searching is not available. Do not use phrases
as search terms. For international trade, type s=international and s=trade.
- Combine two or more search expressions with the Boolean operators
AND (&), OR (+), or NOT(-).
(e.g. t=sustainable & t=farming)
- Use parentheses to group expressions, for example: (w=forest and w=inventory)
and (w=pacific or w=intermountain)
- Entering a date to narrow a search (e.g., w=1997) will retrieve bibliographic
records with publication dates of 1997, as well as irrelevant bibliographic records containing 1997
in any indexed field.
- Currently the Advanced Keyword Search Engine only handles up to six
search terms. Work is under way to eliminate this limit.
