First off, it's been way too long since I've updated my page...and to all my readers, I'm sorry. I haven't been in much of a DOOM mood lately (I'm still not), and I simply haven't had any inspiration to update or write about anything.

As you can see, I've decided to ditch the headline approach of my webpage, and I'm just going to wander aimlessly from topic to topic from now on, like this. See? :)

I suppose I can't have a page update without mentioning SlaughterDM progress, especially since it's been so long since my last update. An entire month, geez, has it been that long? Well, anyway, a few weeks ago Afterglow suggested that maybe the SlaughterDM texture wad had too many flats in it, so I took his ideas into consideration and removed a few flats, and, well...needless to say, it did the trick. That was, as I said before, a few weeks ago, and since then the team has picked up a little bit, despite my own little 'slump.' I gained a new member in the form of Blain Newport, and since he's joined, he's been a _MAJOR_ help with keeping the team talking to each other. He's a natural communicator, I guess. =P Also, Afterglow sent in a beta map to the team, and it looks pretty cool so far. Pixel's also finished a level, but I haven't had time to look at it yet.

I messed around a bit with my links section, mostly removing the DOOMNation link and changing the link to Ricrob's page to his new location at Doomworld. As more of the people at prower's server find new homes, I'll update their links as well, and I'll probably go find a few more links to add too.

I know I told you guys that I'd try and have my Ultimate DOOM level finished by my birthday on the 8th, but I didn't...oh well. I'm thinking about trying something a bit new with it, and making it almost more atmospheric than the normal level is. It's been a while since I've seen levels that duplicated the atmosphere that Aliens TC had...but there will be a few things different, of course. Oh yeah, and look for me to use one of the original DOOM sounds in a way that I know will have you jump the first time you play...and when I release it, no peeking! =P
