|After years of touring and recording with his first band, The Front, Michael Moons life long dreams of landing a major label deal became reality when The Front signed and released their first album through Columbia Records. Michael Moons dreams were realized while opening for legendary rock luminaries such as Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Faith No More, Lenny Kravitz as well as a guest spot on the "Monsters of Rock" tour. The Fronts first single "Fire", produced by Andy Wallace, reached no. 29 on the Billboard charts and received heavy rotation on MTV. Then the unfortunate occurred: management problems, label problems, internal band conflicts band break up.|
|Michael Moon had to pick
up the pieces and move on with his life and his music, keeping busy recording and
producing songs for various movies and television shows, including Party of Five. Michael
Moon is now to release his first solo project, through Mutiny Records, in the form of
"You", an examination of his experiences and outlook on his life in
recent years. Songs include, "Figure It Out", "Walk of Shame",
"So Like Her" and a cover of the Yaz classic, "Only You".
The single, "Chanel No. 5", is featured in the Woody Allen / Miramax film "Celebrity", released November 20th. "Celebrity" features an all-star cast; teenage heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio, Kenneth Branagh, Winona Ryder, Vanessa Redgrave, Joe Mantegna, Melanie Griffith, Bebe Neuwirth, Gretchen Mol and of course Woody Allen. Michael Moon and band make a prominent cameo appearance in "Celebrity", performing "Chanel No. 5" in a club while Kenneth Branagh dances with sexy Charlize Theron.
