Pink Floyd
Animals 8-track version Sound Files

What's so special about a silly old 8-track anyway?

Well the answer is simple: There's an extra guitar solo performed by Snowy White on that silly old 8-track!!

On the usual release of the album/cd/tape, Pigs on the Wing Part 1 starts the album, then you have POTW part 2 at the end of the album. However, on the 8-track, both parts are bridged together with this special guitar solo. Since an 8-track is basically 4 equally long sections, you have to try to make the music fill the first three parts as much as possible. One common practice was to just cut songs in half...ugh! Or sometimes they rearranged the tracks.

I found a copy of this gem at a flea market last summer. It cost me 75 cents US. Take that ROIO makers!!

The files are in RealAudio format. Head on over to Real Audio to get the RealAudio Player.
