Technologies Articles is all about technology and its impact on our lives. This site contains references for articles I wrote on 1996 until today. Some of these articles are available in digital form here.
There will be no weekly column between 20th December to the 5th of January due to a short vacation. I apologize in advance! It is hard to determine when technology first started, but we know it existed tens of thousands of years ago, when man first realized that his frail body and his limited strength and abilities can be extended using tools. These simple technologies, in the shape of spears and stone daggers, wood carving and clay works were the first technologies. They allowed early inhabitants to carry food and water and survive by hunting. And technology was developed by the same wits that allowed the development of culture, law, economics and medicine, as means to assure the success of their advance and their implementation.
Instead on concentrating on niche technologies or pinpoint achievements, my goal is writing about technologies that enhance our lives. However, since such technologies are sparser than others, I also write about more common technologies and trends that seem interesting to me. I hope they are for you too.
The following old topics are not associated with any list of resources and will not be, either: The Network Computer, NetWars, Intranets, Netscape, Intercasting.
