American Computer Company designs the boards
and casings used in many products, striving for the best combination of features and reliability, driver and capability, compatibility and longevity.   This includes Video Adapters, Mainboards, Network Adapters, Modems, and Sound Cards.

We work with major semiconductor firms at determining what is the best overall design for a particular component, like a Display Adapter or a Mainboard.

Then, ACC 'subs' out the designs, to well known component assembly companies such as S3, or Yamaha, or Hercules or TEKRam.  When they have produced sufficient versions of the product for ACC to be convinced that the particular component works properly and will meet our cusotmers needs, we jointly work with the parts manufacturer to integrate the components into our products.

All of our DOMESTIC PCs are assembled in New Jersey, Maryland, California  or Massachusetts, by ACC and by subcontract assemblers who handle peak loads, who have been hand selected and hand trained by ACC's Engineering Division.  The finished PC products are then inspected by the assembly area, then shipped to our main Depot, where they are 're-tested' and 're-tuned' in what we believe represents a REAL WORLD study.  This insures you will not have a problem with any ACC Computer unless it is badly dropped, immersed in water, electrically damaged by your power supply or software is improperly loaded.  

Your Machine has been tested for its ability to endure minor shocks, minor electrical hazards, and minor mishandling by operating system software, and that its software is stable and will last a lifetime.

During the entire cycle, ACC works directly with Microsoft, Sun, Red Hat, and other Software Companies, attempting to have fixed any problems we discover with their software products.  This has included repair of several major issues in Windows, Office, Linux, and Solaris/Unix.  These companies welcome the input, aimed at insuring their products are more fit and competitive.

ACC has successively adopted the PC97, PC98 and the new PC99 Specifications from INTEL and MICROSOFT in its products, and has disqualified parts suppliers because they DIDN'T, even to the extent of taking legal action against one company that resisted adoption of standards on a few components it provided, which ACC replaced at no cost to customers, thereby averting any customer discomfort.

Our philosophy: our Customers Needs and Comfort are more important than our Own.  To that end we have invested in Board Design kits, Semiconductor Design and Layering Software, Systems Test and Engineering Rigs, Extensive Test tooling and training for our staff, and in ISO9000 certification for our parts suppliers.
