Wacky BBC2 comedy The League Of Gentlemen carried off the top Golden Rose prize at the Switzerland-based festival, while other British shows won Silver Roses in an unprecedented four out of six categories.
The press prize, two Bronze Roses and two special mentions also went to British programmes, giving prizes to all the major broadcasters.
