Promotion and Banner RotationYour site may be cool, but it won't be successful if nobody knows about it, right? Planet Half-Life offers a promotional program that is second to none. Hosted sites can place their banner in the PlanetQuake Network rotation, giving them exposure across PlanetQuake's entire awesome network. Your site can recieve upwards of 100,000+ displays a month. That in itself is sure to attract new visitors to your site, but wait, there's more! Mod Author ResourcesIf you're looking for a place for your Half-Life mod or conversion to be hosted, look no further! With Half-Life's easy access to editing tools, we look to be the premier mod host and editing resource. All we ask is that you show us some development in your mod or conversion before you request hosting. Take a look at some of the unique services that the PlanetQuake Network provides for its hosted mods. Mail ServicesWe have a great number of features that help you communicate with your readers and staff members. You can get your own Planet Half-Life e-mail address for yourself and your staff members. Need mailing lists? Form-mail scripts? We've got that too. IRC/Forum SupportCreate your own discussion forum, as well as your own channel on 3DNet, the premier gaming IRC network. ASP, SQL, and PERL SupportComplicated coding requirements? No problem. Our support staff will help you with whatever you need, whether it be intergration of existing services or hosting of your own tools. So What's the Catch?
There's no catch, be we do expect a few things in return. And we don't accept just anyone. We're interested in hosting unique content. We aren't looking to host squads (clans), "general" Half-Life sites, or undeveloped mods \ conversions. We also aren't looking for a news sites, as we do that already. Otherwise, drop us a line. If you aren't sure if your content is new or appropriate, just ask. We also ask that once you've become hosted you continue to update and keep the site rolling. We won't hesitate to delete your account if this becomes an extreme problem, like if you don't update for a month or so. Sure, there's exceptions, but all we ask is that you make sure your content is updated and valuable. The biggest thing we ask of you is to put our banner ad at the top of your page. But since you get free advertising from the banner system as well, we don't think that's very much to ask. Are You Ready?
Think you've got what it takes? Mail hosting@planethalflife.com with your name, mail addy, URL, and a brief description of your site. Your site must be in existence before we host it, slap it up on XOOM or some other free hosting service before requesting space. Or you can send us a zip file, but ask for approval before sending.
