At Kilgore College: Elson averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds and 2.5 blocks as a sophomore ... shot 56 percent from the field and 69 percent from the free throw line ... earned Texas Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors twice ... listed as the No. 12 JC recruit overall by All-Star Sports ... named an honorable mention All-American by Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook before the start of his sophomore season ... JC coach was Scott Schumacher.

High School: Elson did not play for his high school team, opting instead to play for a local club team ... was a member of the Dutch Under-20 National team.
