Browser incompatibility warning
I'm still developing
this site.
For the time being, all of the site content uses strict
HTML 4.0 and
Cascading
Style Sheets level 1.
To my knowledge, only Microsoft
Internet Explorer 4 and 5 will correctly render HTML4/CSS1. (You are
using ia_archiver.)
This isn't a shameless plug for Microsoft. The fact is, an International body (the World Wide Web Consortium) has adopted a standard. Internet
Explorer 4 and 5 follow that standard. Netscape, in particular, does not.
Please bear with me. I will ghost most of the site content in HTML 3.2, which Netscape
Navigator can render almost correctly.

Flying
I've completed
my flight training. See the Aviation section
for more information.
"Cliffhangers"
Michael Braverman's new series, "Cliffhangers," will debut in January on Fox Family.
Stay tuned.
Twenty nine
Sunday, September 5, was my first-annual 29th birthday.
I anticipate a long run of 29th birthdays between now and 2009. It doesn't bother me in the
least that people born on this day in 1985 will start high school this week...nope...

Finally, at long last, jokes
have returned.
I've finished putting
all of the archival jokes back on the site.
I have a backlog of hundreds of jokes, so it will take some
time to get them converted to the site style and put on line. Keep checking
daily for your favorite old groaners, stories to tell at the bar, punchlines to
make a sailor blush, and an occasional surprise.
Next up, a keyword-searchable joke database. Stay tuned.

You want weather? I've
got weather, for over 2,000 stations worldwide from the National Weather Service.
Watch for an upcoming explanation of this accomplishment.
The
sunrise
calculator remains unchanged--except for the huge addition
to the site's database this month.

I've finished
my flight training.
Only a few weeks remain until the FAA checkride.
It has taken almost a year, because New Jersey weather,
in a nutshell, sucks for aviators.
Find out why I've missed
flights.
I've added a
list of places to which
I've flown.
Keep track of my travels--even when I'm just going in circles around the airport--right here.

Just take a look at this new design by Katie
Toner. We have new sections, new content, new graphics, new development
projects, new everything.
You can keep tabs on my plan for developing this website by checking out the
development timetable.
I think it may be ambitious, but I also think I'll keep on schedule.
The site now has a quick list of new and revised
pages as well.

You can check out my book, video,
and CD recommendations and use the feedback
form to send me your own.
A review of Antigone
Rising, that ran originally in July 1998, has reappeared.
All the stories and poetry will return soon; check the development timetable.

Photographs
have returned (probably because
I only needed to convert a few HTML tags on three Active Server Pages). Take a
look--there are 90 right now, with many more waiting in the wings.
