I am glad to hear that Earl Cherry and Jeana Berube will be making a video to help prevent youth suicides in Utah (Tribune, June 7). But unlike KUED's local program on the problem a while back, this video will hopefully address the suicide risk for gay and bisexual youth -- the highest for all risk groups. Dealing with this issue objectively will certainly be considered by radical right-wing fanatics to be controversial. But these anti-homosexual bigots are the reason why these youth are so vulnerable to suicide and a host of other problems in the first place.
