BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Will Miller is America’s leading pop culture analyst. He has been Nick-At- Nite’s resident Television Therapist and the host of their "Why We Watch" segments since 1992. His penetrating, yet tongue-in-cheek insights into the hidden meanings of our favorite television shows have made him a popular fixture at the home of Classic TV. What is amazing about Dr. Will is that he really is who he claims to be - a fully trained and experienced psychotherapist. So what he tells us about classic television may be humorous, but it’s also true.

In addition to his work at Nick At Nite, Dr. Will is an ordained minister and has been a professional stand-up comedian for more than 15 years. He is a frequent guest on a variety of television programs, including CNN’s "Larry King Show," ABC’s "Good Morning America," and the "Rosie O’Donnell Show." Will was also profiled on NBC’s "Dateline" and in People Magazine. He is regularly contacted by major news organizations for his opinions on issues involving the American culture. Will wrote a weekly column for a Gannett Newspaper, and is a frequent contributor to Entertainment Weekly Magazine. He is also a weekly guest on the popular syndicated radio program Bob & Tom.  In fact, he does more than 200 radio interviews each year. Miller was also the host of the NBC daytime talk show, "The Other Side."  He resigned when he objected to the direction the show was taking.

Dr. Will’s first book, "Why We Watch: Killing The Gilligan Within" was published by Simon & Schuster in the fall of 1996. His new book, "Refrigerator Rights," will be published by Random House in May of 2000.  Will is in great demand as a speaker for corporations across the United States and Canada, addressing the effects of our  culture on personal growth, happiness and fulfillment. In fact, he was the highest rated speaker ever to appear at IBM’s prestigious Golden Circle event, and is currently the spokesman for Microsoft’s Carpoint project.

Dr. Will Miller holds a Masters Degree and a Doctorate in Urban Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University, and a Masters in Divinity from Union Theological Seminary.
