Muzel[Sg] vs. =-psyduck-=
Battleground:

THE LOST TEMPLE

Match One

Players:
Muzel[Sg] - ZERG - Center Right
=-psyduck-= - TERRAN - Top Center

Game Time: 11:56

Muzel[Sg] finds =-psyduck-= early with this starting Overlord, though =-psyduck-= is not far behind in his own scouting and discovers Muzel[Sg]'s base soon after. =-psyduck-= builds two Barracks quickly and pumps out Marines in anticipation of an early Zerg attack. Muzel[Sg] builds his second Hatchery at the due east position and begins to assemble a force of Zerglings while building an Extractor and Spire in preparation for a later air assault.

Let the battles begin!

Muzel[Sg] attacks first with six Zergling, but can't force himself far past =-psyduck-='s defended ramp. His Zerglings die beneath the concentrated firepower of the defending Marines. =-psyduck-= retaliates with a squad of Marines supported by Medics, cutting his way through Muzel[Sg]'s expansion site until the Terran's advance is bogged down by a critically placed Sunken Colony. When this attack fails, =-psyduck-= pulls back on the defensive as a large group of Zerglings charge his main base. The Zerg swarm is cleared away after a tense exchange of furious Zergling/Marine/Firebat combat. =-psyduck-= has only a second to rest, however, before a fleet of Mutalisks dive into his base. His defenses taxed and his air power lacking, =-psyduck-= concedes to Muzel[Sg].

DIRE STRAITS

Match Two

Players:
Muzel[Sg] - PROTOSS - Top Left
=-psyduck-= - PROTOSS - Top Right

Game Time: 15:03

Both players start the game with similar build orders: Gateway, Cybernetics Core, Robotics Facilityand then a Robotics Support Bay. Although Muzel[Sg] is a bit faster in climbing the tech tree, =-psyduck-= is the first to launch an assault. His early drop of two Dragoons is taken care of by Muzel[Sg]'s defenses. =-psyduck-= continues to shuttle in pairs of Dragoons, eventually adding Reavers into the mix of his deadly cargo…

A vicious game of opposing Shuttles, Dragoons and Reavers ensues over and around Muzel[Sg]'s base. The tide sways back and forth for some time with Muzel[Sg] building more Reavers as =-psyduck-= drops in his own reinforcements. Collateral damage to Muzel[Sg]'s Probes proves to be his eventual undoing as he can no longer fuel his Reaver production. Running low on resources, he concedes the game to =-psyduck-=.

RIVALRY

Match Three

Players:
Muzel[Sg] - ZERG - Bottom Right
=-psyduck-= - PROTOSS - Top Right

Game Time: 12:25

Muzel[Sg] begins the deciding game with a build order similar to the one he used in game one as he spawns an early second Hatchery and then progresses to Zerglings. Instead of an air assault, however, Muzel[Sg] peppers some Hydraslisks into his ground force and begins to evolve his main Hatchery into a Lair.

=-psyduck-= starts by quickly warping in a force of Zealots and then sends them after Muzel[Sg]'s expansion. Although their assault fails, =-psyduck-= is quick to send in five more Zealots. Muzel[Sg]'s base looks to be in jeopardy, but a hastily hatched group of Zerglings is finally able to overpower the attacking Protoss. =-psyduck-= builds reinforcements and places them at the top of the ramp leading into his base while gathering strength for his next charge. Muzel[Sg] places his Zerglings at the bottom of =-psyduck-='s ramp, far enough away to deny =-psyduck-= any free reconnaissance. One Hydralisk then cocoons itself and begins its morph into Lurker…

Muzel[Sg] loads his Lurker and four Zerglings into an Overload and makes his way to =-psyduck-='s mineral patches. By coming in from an unexpected angle, the Zerg encounter minimal resistance and Muzel[Sg] is able to burrow his Lurker within striking distance of the Protoss Probes and buildings. =-psyduck-= has no way to detect the hidden Lurker and he is forced to pull his Probes out of harm's way. The Protoss scramble to warp in Photon Cannons, but they are too late as two more Lurkers are dropped in and they join the first in the destruction of =-psyduck-='s base. The game and match goes to Muzel[Sg].

Victor: Muzel[Sg]
