From all the mail I've gotten on the new design, I'm summarizing the following:
1) Most everybody really likes the change from the old design, except for a few people who liked it the old way. Of course, this happens with everything that changes: some people like it, some people want it back the old way.
2) Some people are experiencing long page load times. This doesn't have anything to do with the size of the page (most every page is still under 10K, which should load instantly over even the slowest connections), but the new table layout which now encompasses the entire page. This is primarily affecting those with older (slower) computers and early Netscape versions.
3) There are a few people out there whose "Back" button is no longer working on the site. This one mystifies me completely, so if this is happening to you, please send me the URL of the page you get stuck on, your Operating System, and your Browser make and model, and I'll try and see if there's some sort of pattern.
4) Blue-on-blue text is indeed hard to read.
5) Link and Visited Link colors are way too close to one another.
So, I'm currently looking into building a sister non-tabled site for those of you experiencing problem #2, hopefully over the weekend. As for the rest of you, I plan on getting rid of the blue-on-blue problem and the link colors sorted out shortly as well. As for problem #3, I'm mystified, but I will look into it.

First update online. After working 10-12 hour days for the past three days, I am taking a bit of a break today. For those of you with slower computers and older browsers, I have heard your cries and I'm working on a compromise solution.

Whew! Just got the last update in under the wire, including John Culbert's first Gran Turismo 2 FAQ (If you haven't seen his first GT guide, go read it now) and my own personal Marionette Handler FAQ. Yep, CJayC has been on one heck of a Japanese gaming kick lately. It should continue for at least one more game, prehaps more.

Been working on a brand new FAQ all day today, should be up later tonight. In "New Server" news, the database has been selected and ordered, as well as a nice 9GB SCSI hard drive. ETA is by the end of the month, but I've been wrong before.

First update of a brand new shiny day is online. Can you feel the joy?

Final update of one very long day online. I've been working on the site straight since noon with only a couple of very short breaks in there, and I worked almost all of last night as well. So, it's time to call it a night and rest up for another exciting day tomorrow.
