Husker Report
COMPILED BY STEVEN PIVOVAR
WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER

What's new? - Saturday's loss to Texas forced few changes in Nebraska's practice routine Monday. The Huskers worked out for two hours in half pads on the grass fields, just as they do every Monday after a game. "I did see great concentration and great focus by the players, and I'm pleased with the practice that we had today," Nebraska Coach Frank Solich said. "Our coaching demeanor and the amount of reps we try to get doesn't change regardless of how we did on Saturday."
Who's hurting? - Defensive tackle Jeremy Slechta (ankle, knee) returned to practice, but linebacker Randy Stella (hamstring), offensive tackle Adam Julch (elbow) and linebacker Carlos Polk (ankle) missed the workout. Tight end Tracey Wistrom (hamstring) started practice but did not finish.
Worth noting - Nebraska's Nov. 6 game against Texas A&M will be televised by ABC, with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. With the Nov. 13 game against Kansas State expected to be televised and the Nov. 26 game at Colorado set for ABC, Nebraska will have had 10 of its 11 regular-season games televised. The only game not broadcast was the Sept. 18 game against Southern Mississippi.
Worth quoting - "Watching the film, we played well, but the breaks didn't go our way. You always need breaks in a football game to put you over the hump. We just never could get a turnover or come up with the big play that would have helped turn the tide." - Nebraska rover back Mike Brown, reviewing the Husker defensive performance in the 24-20 loss to Texas.
What's next? - Nebraska will work out in full pads today and Wednesday in preparation for Saturday's game at Kansas.
