Internet Assistant for American Statistical Association. Created and edited web pages using an established format. Worked with volunteers who set up the style and standards of content for the ASA web site. Assisted members and staff with internet questions.

August 1994 - February 1997

Technical writer and documentation specialist. Edited manuals and on-line help for human resources software for college administrators. Used Unidata development software and MS Word to produce on-line help. Produced written documentation in FrameMaker. Added screen prints using HiJaak.

On government contract, wrote user manuals and developed Windows on-line help screens. Used the RoboHelp Help Authoring System, MS Word 6.0 to develop help system files and PC Paintbrush to refine graphics. Assisted with functional testing of software modules. Also trained other technical writers in use of RoboHelp. Proofread and edited documents.

July 1993 - August 1994

Writers Assistant and Office Manager for small non-profit in Washington DC. Proofreader.

August 1988 - June 1993

Office Manager for software development company. Responsible for personnel administration, procurement, supervision of receptionist, and newsletter. Formatted and assembled proposals.

Spring 1984 - Present

Volunteer in many capacities with Alexandria Archaeology. Edited and managed monthly newsletter for nine years. Helped establish goals and direct program, wrote minutes, produced annual report and brochure, managed renewals, organized seminars and field trips. Hands-on archaeological experience in excavating, mapping, artifact processing and analysis. Also made photographic records, produced slide shows, made speeches. Edited computer graphics. Served on FOAA board of directors.

Worked part-time as a photographer for three years.
For nine years, I was employed by United Way of America as an administrative coordinator and executive secretary.
Prior to that, I was a 4-H club organizer for Virginia Tech Extension Division.
For almost two years, I was a foster parent to a teenage girl from a third-world country.
Currently doing some part-time marketing, web page development, and internet training.
