Stocks close higher on continued technical rebound

QUEZON CITY, (ABS-CBN) - The local stock market extended its technical rebound Thursday with the main index ended slightly higher.

The 30-company Phisix, the market's main barometer added another 13.49 from yesterday's close to 1667.44.

The all-share index also closed in the green, higher by 2.86 points to 594.46.

However, the market's sub-indices closed mixed with the property and financial indices ended in the red.

Analysts said this is still an indication of a volatile market.

PhilWeb.Com (WEB) was the day's most active issue which accounted for more than 30% of total trades. WEB shares closed at 32 centavos, up seven centavos.
