New Services Changes

It's Another Record!

LYNX Y2K Statement

Monthly Board Summary

Improvements on more than half of Lynx “Links” begin December 19

Service improvements on 38 “Links” will start Dec. 19.  The adjustments represent more than half of the Lynx fixed bus route network.

“Most of the improvements are designed to address our customer’s desires for consistent on-time bus service by adjusting running times of the buses,” explained Leo P. Auger, Lynx Executive Director.  “We will also extend service and provide new service throughout the region.”

Major improvements include:

  •       Extending Link 3 from the Shoppes of South Semoran at State Road 436 and Pershing Avenue to
    Chickasaw Trail in Orange County.

  •       Extending Link 44 and adding midday and Saturday service from Apopka south to Park Promenade Plaza at Hiawassee and Silver Star Roads.  Link 44 will connect with five other links providing greater access to employment, shopping and recreational activity centers.

  •      Creating Link 12 to serve Buenaventura Lakes and Boggy Creek and streamlining services on Links 10 and 18 in east Osceola County.

  •       Starting midday service on Link 32 serving Bithlo and east Orange County.

  •       Extended night and weekend service on some links.

  •       The introduction of Link 3-D (Downtown Disney Direct) service, increasing access to employment opportunities at Walt Disney World and the surrounding resort areas.
