This site is dedicated to writing by adult migrants learning English in Australia, and to everyone interested in learning languages and cultural diversity. Writing by migrants, we believe, provides interesting reading as well as many valuable insights into our evolving multicultural society.

PANDORA is dedicated to Australian electronic publications of national significance and Write Away! is honoured to have a place there. Go there.

This site was created by Colin Oriti and an independent project Steering Group between March 1996 and November 1997. It had the support of the National Centre for English Language Teaching and Research and many ESL teachers and students in NSW and Victoria. Since November 1997 there has been no further development.
