Lynx Makes Route Adjustments on April 23, 2000

Adjustments will be made to 17 "Links" on the Lynx bus system starting Sunday, April 23. While many of the changes are only minor adjustments to route schedules, all will allow Lynx to provide more efficient service to the community.

The most notable changes are being made in the International Drive, Metro West, and Orlando International Airport areas. Those changes include:

  • Link 8, which serves the West Oak Ridge and International Drive areas, will extend weekday service until 3 a.m.

  • Link 37 will no longer serve Valencia Community College on the weekend.

  • Link 41, which travels from Apopka to the Orlando International Airport, will begin serving Gatlin Avenue and Dixie Belle Drive in the South Semoran Boulevard area.

Other minor changes will be made to the schedules of Links 15, 16, 23, 25, 38, 42, 47, 50, 51, 54, and 56.

Lynx makes adjustments to its routes and schedules several times a year. Service increases are based on factors such as increased ridership or traffic and funding from each city and county served by Lynx. Adjustments are also made to make routing more efficient. Customers with questions about the changes should contact Lynx Customer Service at (407) 841-8240.
