TORONTO -- Who will go first? Wake Forrest running back Morgan Kane who amassed 1,161 yards last season, Adriano Belli, a 6-5, 278 lb. defensive lineman from the University of Houston, who had 101 total tackles during his four-year collegiate career, or Daaron McField, a 6'4" defensive lineman from UBC who totaled 33 tackles for the Thunderbirds last season.

 We will find out next Tuesday, April 18 at 11:00 AM (EST) when the Saskatchewan Roughriders make the first selection in the 2000 Canadian College Draft. These are exciting times in Regina, not only do General Manager Roy Shivers and Head Coach Danny Barrett possess the first overall selection in the draft, but they have made several moves to enhance the Club and the prospects for the 2000 version of the Green and White look good.

 The 'Riders will be followed by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The Bombers, who finished strong in '99 will be looking to build on that momentum. Quarterback Kerwin Bell is back and the Bombers, under the direction of Dave Ritchie and Lyle Bauer, are poised to challenge in the East this season.

 The Eskimos, who finished the '99 season with a 6-12 record, will be looking to beef up their Canadian talent with the third pick. The fourth selection belongs to the Toronto Argonauts. The Argonauts are looking to challenge each of the other Eastern teams this year in what could be one of the closest Eastern races in recent memory.

 The Calgary Stampeders possess the fifth selection thanks to a deal with the Montreal Alouettes. The Stamps, are looking to add to a team that has gone to the Grey Cup in two consecutive seasons.

 The B.C. Lions select sixth. The Lions, under the tutelage of Greg Mohns will once again be a force in the Western Division. The Lions 13-5 record last season earned them their first Western Division championship since 1987.

 The Stampeders, who held the seventh overall pick, forfeited it with their selection of linebacker Wayne Blair in the 1999 Supplemental Draft. However, they managed to get it back in a trade with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
