Campus minister Jed Smock spoke to students near the Hub on Thursday. Smock travels across the country talking to students on every school day that weather permits. "Students need to turn from their selfishness and live unselfish lives through faith in Christ," he said. Smock said he stands for personal responsibility. As an example, he said a convicted murderer like Timothy McVeigh has forfeited his right to life because "no one forced him to be a part of it." Smock has spoken at some 600 universities in the past 25 years as an interdenominational pastor.
