I am reposting my entry to the "person to person" section after becoming
more familiar with this web site.
Main points up to this date:
* I was looking for information about divorce so I could decide if that
is what I should do about my very broken (and getting worse) 20 year marriage.
* I began to see a marriage counselor by myself (wife refused to go).
* My assignment was to read first 3 chapters of "Divorce Busting".
* I learned:
** Divorce does not guarantee a fix to a life full of hurt.
** Women can make request that are couched in criticism.
** Men resist (withdraw) - I have done this.
** I can improve my marriage by myself.
** Focus on what works, not on how things got so bad.

** The clues and resources to repair the marriage are here now.
** !! Divorce your marriage and start a new one with the same partner !!
One quick success story. I gave my wife a peck on the cheek before I
left for work, the first in months. When I got home there was a sweet
"thank you and welcome home" note on my pillow.
My current plan is to watch how {I} respond to my wife. Also to read Ch 4&5.
I have great hope for my marriage now.
I am preparing a list of things I want. (not what I want less of) Goals as it were.
[personal note: I may put forth a strong confident front, but I am still
beset with fears and insecurity at times. Your comments and encouragement
are welcome and desired.]
