St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church

Greetings from

St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church!

Our Mission is "to deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ and to draw others to his enabling grace".  We have as our Vision "to be a Spirit-filled community proclaiming Jesus as Lord".

We are a small, friendly and very active church located in an old pecan grove in north Tallahassee.

Do visit us!

There are two church services on Sunday morning at 8:00 and 10:30, Sunday School classes at 9:15 for all ages, as well as Children's Church held during the first half of the 10:30 service and a nursery for both services.    Tuesday mornings at 7:30 is a Contemplative Eucharist.    Wednesday evenings at 7:30 is a Contemporary Eucharist with special teaching, praise, and prayer.   There are opportunities for prayer, service and fellowship throughout the month.

We have an active outreach program that helps the needy and homeless, both in Tallahassee and outside the U.S., including the support of missionaries in Central America. Our food closet is a blessing to church members, nearby school children and the needy in our community.

Our pastoral care committee provides support for parishioners who are experiencing illness, deaths in the family or other traumas. There are intercessory prayer teams who are ready to pray for you and your family members every Sunday morning and Wednesday nights as well as other times as needed.

We have chapters for several orders in the parish. There is the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, the Daughters of the King, and the Order of St. Luke the Physician.
Internationally we are known for the standard Episcopal Church signs.  Locally our parish is known for prayer and teaching.  Our rector has lead numerous retreats, served as guest speaker and written both a booklet on the Anglican Rosary and a Prayer Book for the parish.
