The aircraft prices are given for the year indicated. These are market prices, not production costs. To estimate an aircraft's price for the current year use about 4% annual inflation rate for the U.S. dollar or, for a better estimate, visit one of the financial sites dealing with the U.S. national economy to lookup inflation rates for a particular year. For example, the F-15 Eagle cost $42.875 million in 1991, which in today's dollars would be roughly $58.31 million or about the cost of two fully-equipped   late-model Su-30s.

On the average you would see that, despite of computer-aided design, more efficient manufacturing methods, and less expensive materials, prices for combat aircraft of all types are going up at a high rate. This is especially true for Western aircraft and particularly for American combat aircraft. It's either the US aviation industry is too greedy or the US government is too rich.
