Wicca is a way of life as well as a religion. We work to better our lives as well as others. We do not worship the Devil as most people believe. And any one who does worship the Devil and says they are a witch give real withes a bad image. How ever when the Roman Church came into Free Gaul and then moved into the Britions they turned out God into the figure of the Devil to get more people to convert and to give a justified reason to kill those who did not convert. Wiccans work to achive a balance between Good and Evil, and to become one with the Earth. We worship the The Lady of the Moon and The Horned Hunter of the Sunand
The One. Now days as in the past heal and help others as much as we can. We try to live simple lives. Away from the voilence and lawlessness that can come from this world. I know not how to fix these problems or others through out the world. But I do know that each Wiccan does his or her part to save this Earth, the only place we have left. But we can not do it alone that is why we are reaching out. Trying to teach others and find those that are like us and help guid them down what ever path they take. Many of us live out in the country or near as close to nature as we can. But not all of us do. We can still pratice our ways in the city. We are out there all around. We have kept mostly to our selves passing by from day to day doing our magickal ways. Yet if ever you should need a hand or help we will be the first to offer it to you.
Well our beliefs differ from area to area and the way we each where tought. So I will give you the basics and the way I have grown and what I have found to be true.

Let me expand alittle on this. Let me start with the One. The One is every thing from the rocks to the the air we breath. Let me use some science to explane. If you have ever taken an science or Astronomy class that explains the "Scientific" creation of the universe they say it all started with the "Big Bang". And that after the "Big Bang" gasses formed and moved and created the stars and planets through out the universe. Well the One is some thing like the "Big Bang". The sourse of all creation and all creation is made from the One. Then the God and Goddess are like the One. They are like the gasses. They came from the One. Then They moved and came togeather to create the planets. And then the life that lives on those planets. Ours as well as maybe others. As for life we all have unending souls. When we die our souls leave our body and our reborn. As for other things these can change from person to person. But there is one thing. True Magick is not white or black; left or right; good or evil. It is ment to be a balance of both. For nothing in nature is truely of one or the other. But both. Some beings, Which holds true for most humans tend to be off balance. With more of one or another power in them. And it can change from time to time. Even some places can be set off balance by actions taken or natural events.
First to understand Wicca you must know it's roots. Wicca started of as Shamanism. Which was one of the first religions ever on this world. No matter what other would say.
Shamanism then grew into the Celtic Druids. I am not sure nor have I read enuf to prove to me how this change came about. Then some where along the way what is now known as Witch Craft branched out. Then along came the Religion of Christainity. It spread and slowly the ways of the Witch died out except for here and there and in the outlying country. The two religions may have clashed alittle and it came to be known that any Non-Christian became known as Pagans or Heathens.The term Pagan came from the Latin word paganus or pagani, meaning "country-dewller". And the word Heathen means "One who dwells on the heath". Through the centuries the campaigns agenst non-Christians grewThen came the Pope Innocent VIII. And in the year 1484 he anounced the curchs non-exceptance of Witches. Then two years later two German monks Heinrich Institoris Kramer and Jakob Sprenger released there Malleus Maleficarum, or Witches Hammer. And some where around this time out God had turned into the Christian Devil. Which always puzled me. For in the begainning and the old copies of the Bible the Devil is never mentioned. Only Satan. Which comes form a Hebru word meaning "The Questioner". Who was cast out of Heaven for Questioning the creation of Human kind. And Satan was cast out into Hell. Which was described as "A place with out the presence of God". Thus Earth would be Hell or a Hell. Then from the Malleus Maleficarum came the Burning times (Inquisitions). When Christian churches decided to kill Non-Christians and say they worshipped the Devil. From then on thousands of people where killed for no other reason then they where not Christian. So Pagans and other Non-Christian religions had to hid their true religion and it's ways. Until the 80's Pagans where mostly a underground socity. Then a group of Pagans
came out with Wicca to try and change the image of witchcraft.
It has grown and grown once again. And I see it in the amounts of mail I get each day. New and Old members that I talk to. I believe that Wicca offers the spirituality that it seems people are looking for these days. And I plan to in the future be an active member of the Wiccan And Pagan Community.
Well Wiccans do meny diffrent things. The one thing we do not do is harm people. We believe that every thing we do comes back to us three times more powerful. So no one has any reason to fear us.
The thing that I an most Wiccans I know want to be known as some one who helps others. Not only by working magick but as a person you can talk to and get advice from.
A nother thing Wiccans do like most other religions is celebrate our holidays.
Prehaps the most important thing Wiccans do is rejoice in the joy of life. We believe that all life, human, animal or other is important. And we try our best not to harm any living thing.
My people have suffred alot in the past for what we believe. For all those who fallow in
the same path should always keep the momery of them some where in their heart. I speak
of the burnning times and of the times before when Romans and others spread through
Eourpe. The Romans and a few other groups went through England and Gual an a few
other parts of Eourpe that where the start of Wicca. From what history tells us the High
Priest/ess and High Druids where forced into hiddineg or killed. Then the came the
burnning times.Where we where hunted down and torchered to admit we where worked
for the Devil. And for those who admited this I forgive them. For I know few who could
stand what was done to them. I think even I would say what ever any wanted to hear to
end the pain. After having my fingers broke, beind burned with hot iorn and some times
worse. And for those decendants and fallowers of the Religion that did that to my people I
do not hate them. But I will never understand who they can say I am in the wrong. For
they seem to forget the past and care nothing about what was done or about rebuilding
their image. It is estemated that 1.5 Million pagan men, women and children where killed in the times of the Inquisitions. This still leaves out the number of Druids and Celts killed or put into slavery. Though during the Inquisitions the people killed cats as well. Which shortly after lead to the growth of rats. Which carried the "Black Death" through out Europe killing one third of there population. Seems they brought it upon them selves. All this came as a great cost to the world. We lost countless bits of knowledge and great minds.

What Wiccans we believe?

"Before time was, there was The One: The One was all, and all was The
One.
And the vast expanse known as the universe was The One, all-wise, all-pervading,
all-powerful, eternally changing.
And space moved. The One molded energy into twin forms, equal but opposite,
fashioning the Goddess and God from The One and of The One.
The Goddess and God strectched and gave thanks to The One, but darkness
surrounded them. They were alone, solitary save for The One.
So They formed energy into gasses and gasses into suns and planets and moons;
They sprinkled the Universe with whirling globes and so all was given shape by the hands
of the Goddess and God.
Light arose and the sky was illuminated by a billion suns. And the Goddess and
God, satisfied by their works, rejoiced and loved, and were one.
From their union sprang the seeds of all life, and of the human race, so that we
might achieve incarnation upon the Earth.
The Goddess chose the Moon as Her symbol, and the God the Sun as His Symbol,
to remind the inhabitants of Earth of their fashioners.
All are born, live, die and are reborn beneath the Sun and Moon; all things come to

Meny times I have been asked what I think of other religions. And I believe that
one religion could never make every one happy. The only thing I don't like is when some
one from a nother religion starts witnessing me about the "True Religion". I don't mind
talking about differnt religions as long as people resect my beliefs like I do theirs. What
really matters is how you live your life. So I have no problem with anyone no matter what
religion as long as they fallow the Wiccan Rede "An it harm none, Do what thou wilt" (Do
your own thing, as long as it doesn't harm anybody). And as long as they do not try to force there beliefs upon others. I have observed this many times my self. It is a shame full act that should never be condoned by any religion.
